This 3.7-mile round trip climbs about 1,210 feet from the Panorama overlook — the closest major Skyline Drive trailhead to Luray, about 20 minutes away. It’s a steady, honest climb with little payoff view until the very top, where it opens onto a wide view over Page Valley. Dogs are permitted.

Sunset from the summit is genuinely worth the timing, but bring a real flashlight or headlamp for the descent.
