Cave Ridge Vineyard

A serious Shenandoah County winery with a real kitchen menu, leashed dogs welcome throughout, and Friday evenings that run past dark.

Cave Ridge Vineyard is a working Shenandoah County winery in Mount Jackson, pouring estate-grown wines with a regular in-house kitchen menu — light fare, sandwiches, and flatbreads, not just picnic tables. Friday evenings run later than most regional wineries (to 8:30pm), making this a workable after-work stop rather than an afternoon-only visit.

Plan around one thing: the kitchen closes an hour before the winery does. On most days that means food stops at 5pm, 7:30pm on Friday and 7pm on Saturday, even though the tasting room stays open later. Reservations are requested for groups of 6 or more.

Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the tasting room, porch, and grounds, though not inside the private igloo reservations. Children are allowed at the venue; wine tastings themselves are 21 and over. The winery also runs a regular calendar of events worth checking before a visit.
