Twenty bluegrass bands over four days at the Luray VFW, with every dollar of gate money going to support local veterans. Bring a lawn chair — most of the crowd sets up in front of the stage and stays put through a supper break each afternoon before the evening sets. Camping is at capacity most years, so this one is really a day-trip listen for anyone who didn’t reserve a site back in the spring.
It runs Thursday through Sunday, so you don’t need to catch the whole thing — a single afternoon or evening pass gets you in for the music, food, and a look through the silent-auction tables.
