Saturday 10 October · Historic Downtown Front Royal

The 54th annual Festival of Leaves takes over Historic Downtown Front Royal for one Saturday in October. Live entertainment runs all day on multiple stages, food trucks and local eats fill the Historic District alongside award-winning beer and mead, and the 3rd annual car show brings out classics, customs, trucks and motorcycles. It’s free to attend and billed as Front Royal’s most anticipated event of the season, so plan on a full day of festival rather than a quick stop.

Front Royal is about 45 minutes from Luray via Route 340 — a genuinely scenic drive along the edge of the park. Go early if you want easy parking; by midday the historic district lots fill and street parking gets scarce.
