Embers of Honor: Campfire and Lantern Walk

A Veterans Day evening program at Shenandoah River State Park, run with the Warren Heritage Society. A local archivist shares stories of area veterans around a campfire, then participants light lanterns in their honor and take a guided hike on the Bluebell Trail, a natural-surface trail with exposed rocks and roots. You can choose a 0.5-mile or 1-mile route. It is the final program of the park’s 2026 Nights in Nature series.

Registration is required, and the meeting location is provided when you register. There is no extra program fee; the standard park parking fee applies. For questions, call 540-622-2262.
