Shenandoah Vineyards

One of Virginia’s oldest wineries, aging wine in a Civil War-era stone cellar — bring your own picnic, there’s no kitchen.

Founded in 1976, Shenandoah Vineyards is one of the oldest wineries in Virginia, still aging wine in a Civil War-era barn with a working stone cellar. It’s a straightforward tasting-room visit, not a destination restaurant.

There’s no food service — picnics are welcome outside, so bring your own if you’re planning to stay a while. Leashed dogs are allowed outdoors. Closed Monday and Tuesday; groups of six or more should call ahead.
